La sensation diffuse de vivre dans un " univers menteur " n'est-elle pas à l'origine de formes nouvelles d'individualisme et de repli sur soi ? Toutes les méthodes de communication et de débat sont-elles bonnes dans un espace public qui se prétend démocratique ? Dans ce livre passionnant, Philippe Breton s'efforce de répondre à ces questions en décrivant les différentes techniques de manipulation qui saturent notre environnement, à partir de nombreux exemples pris dans les domaines de la politique, de la publicité, de la psychothérapie et de la communication.
Proposant une analyse des faiblesses des sociétés modernes, il ouvre aussi quelques pistes pour redonner à la parole le rôle d'outil vivant de la démocratie. Il introduit notamment le concept original de liberté de réception, sans laquelle la liberté d'expression reste surtout la liberté des puissants. La Parole manipulée a été couronné en 1998 par le Prix de philosophie morale de l'Académie des sciences morales et politiques.

Paradoxe : la marginalisation des Chuetas de Majorque, la persistance d'un antijudaïsme populaire, la création, en 1941, d'un Fichier juif se sont conjuguées avec l'exaltation de Sefarad. Aujourd'hui se dessinent de nouveaux enjeux politiques et mémoriels : statut de la judaïcité espagnole issue d'immigrations récentes, réappropriations du legs médiéval, dialogue avec les différentes instances du judaïsme mondial.
En focalisant l'éclairage à la fois sur la longue durée et ses principaux temps forts, cet ouvrage entend restituer dans toute sa complexité la lente normalisation des relations hispano-juives contemporaines.

La Anatomía Quirúrgica en Cirugía Plástica Estética y Reconstructiva debe ser generosamente conocida por el cirujano, ya que no solo tiene la función de avalar un buen resultado postoperatorio, sino que contribuye a disminuir o eliminar complicaciones y secuelas indeseables. Las características anatómicas regionales deben identificar no solo las estructuras vasculares y nerviosas, sino también todos los otros elementos como músculos, glándulas, fascias, tendones y huesos. En la cirugía estética y reconstructiva de la cara, el nervio facial y sus ramas terminales constituyen el principal elemento a conocer en detalledes de su salida en el agujero estilomastoideo hasta finalizar inervando los músculos faciales de la mímica. La habilidad del cirujano reconstructivo está directamente relacionada con los conocimientos de la anatomía quirúrgica de la región a operar; no solo es necesario conseguir el excelente resultado estético y/o funcional buscado, sino evitar complicaciones o secuelas. La experiencia ampliamente satisfactoria obtenida en el práctica hospitalaria pone de manifiesto la importancia de los conocimientos de anatomía quirúrgica funcional que debe tener todo cirujano que planee una operación. La experiencia quirúrgica del cirujano actuante está directamente relacionada con los conocimientos amplios y a su vez detallados en la anatomía de la región que le toca operar; la facilidad para hacer las maniobras operatorias, el menor tiempo de cirugía, la calidad de la técnica quirúrgica y el menor porcentaje de complicaciones es sinónimo de sólidos conocimientos anatómicos. El fin de esta publicación tiene como proyecto máximo dar a conocer la experiencia quirúrgica de más de 40 años en el campo de la cirugía plástica y de cabeza y cuello, recalcando la importancia de la anatomía quirúrgica como bastión principal de sostén de hacer operaciones racionales, efectivas y seguras.
